The position
We are seeking a Scientist or Senior Scientist to join our in vitro pharmacology department in Aarhus. You will play a key role in designing, executing, and analyzing in vitro assays to support drug discovery and preclinical development programs. You are a curious, structured, and result-oriented scientist who thrives in a highly dynamic environment that characterizes a biotech start-up. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across R&D including protein production and in vivo teams.
Your core responsibilities will be:
- Design, plan, and execute experimental work including:
- Perform and analyze flow cytometry–based assays (e.g. phenotyping, functional readouts)
- Develop, optimize, and validate in vitro assays to support target exploration and lead characterization
- Analyze, interpret, and document experimental data and present results to project teams
- Maintain high-quality documentation, protocols, and SOPs
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams in a highly interactive R&D environment
Qualifications
- PhD or MSc with significant relevant experience in immunology, pharmacology, cell biology, or a related field
- Strong experience with flow cytometry and analysis of complex datasets
- Strong experience with in vitro assays using cell lines or primary cells
- Proven ability to plan and execute experiments independently and critically evaluate results
- Experience working in an interdisciplinary and international environment
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
In addition (but not mandatory):
- Experience working with patient-derived material
- Experience in assay development within drug discovery or biotech/pharma settings

The position is located in Aarhus, Denmark, with start date March 1, 2026, or as soon as possible after. The position is a maternity cover and is therefore limited in duration until May 1, 2027, with the possibility of extension.
