Senior Laboratory Technician

The position
As a Laboratory Technician/Research Associate in In Vitro Pharmacology at Commit Biologics you will be part of a small, dedicated team designing and developing in Vitro Assays. You will contribute to assay optimization and be involved in screening campaigns to identify new drug candidates.
The laboratory is newly founded and initially there will be some work focusing on building a good, practical, and well-running lab. Following, you will contribute to multiple projects across different indications utilizing several techniques that focus on antibody mediated cytotoxicity. Since we are a small team, you will engage in several aspects of drug development, with a variety of tasks, which will be solved together as a group.
The position will report to Heidi Schultz, Principal Scientist.
Key responsibilities
- Daily overseeing of laboratory (ordering, inventory etc.)
- Cell purification, culture and maintenance
- Writing your own Electronic Laboratory Notebook entries
- Maintain high-quality documentation, protocols, and SOPs
- Set-up, optimize and perform in vitro cellular assays (e.g. CDC, ADCC and whole blood assays) to support development
- Data analysis and presentation to team members
Qualifications
- Solid expertise and hands-on experience within human primary cell culture
- Primary cell purification and isolation
- Experience with flow-cytometry (e.g. NovoCyte) and flow analysis (e.g. FlowJo)
- Experience from pharmaceutical R&D (pharma, biotech or CRO) with pre-clinical development of biotherapeutics, like therapeutic antibodies, will also be valuable for the position.
