The position
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of in vivo pharmacology to join our growing R&D team. You will be responsible for the in vivo efficacy models, PK and PD activities evaluating BiCE molecules. You are a creative, result-oriented, and organized person who thrives in a highly dynamic and international environment that characterizes a biotech start-up. You will be interacting with people across the whole organization. The role can be performed from the home office, with regular visits to the Aarhus office for team meetings.
Your core responsibilities will be:
- Identify relevant CRO, establish and manage the CRO relationship.
- Establish strategy and science around model selection, design and PK – PD.
- Establish study designs and analyze experimental data.
- Design relevant PK and PD methods for the investigation of BiCE molecules.
- Write and review experimental reports from internal work and from CRO.
- Communicate results and scientific data internally and externally.
- Establish CDA and MSA documents where appropriate.
In addition, you will shape Commit Biologics together with us to establish a professional and cutting-edge immune therapy company.
Qualifications
- You hold a PhD degree in a life science discipline.
- You have at least 10 years’ experience in the biopharma/biotech industry working on in vivo efficacy models, PK and PD for the development of biological therapeutics.
- You have extensive experience with preclinical tumor models and/or autoimmune disease models.
- You have experience with managing CRO’s performing the preclinical animal models.
- You are used to work in an interdisciplinary and international environment, where speaking and writing in English is part of everyday life.
Hard skills:
- Oncology and/or autoimmune disease background
- Experience with the development of antibody-based therapeutics
- Complement biology background is a plus
- Extensive expertise with managing CROs
Soft skills:
- Problem-solving capabilities.
- Highly motivated, pro-active and dynamic individual
- Ability to deliver against predefined timelines
- Strong results driven personality, high level of enthusiasm, energy and creativity and an ability to demonstrate flexibility and integrity
- Be able to function in a multidisciplinary and international team
- Work independently and in team environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
