Senior Scientist in Vivo Pharmacology

The position
We are seeking a scientist to join our growing R&D in vivo Pharmacology team. You will be responsible to manage activities performed at CRO’s and to develop and run PK and PD based assays in the internal lab. You are a creative, result-oriented and organized person who thrives in a highly dynamic environment that characterizes a biotech start-up. You will be interacting with people across the whole organization and contribute to the daily maintenance and operations of our research facilities.
Your core responsibilities will be:
- Set up, plan, and manage activities at CRO around preclinical in vivo models. Ensure relevant materials and methods are available at CRO or internally for the in vivo models.
- Establish study design and rationale, analyze experimental data, maintain experimental results in relevant databases.
- Establish relevant PK and PD methods for the investigation of BiCE molecules.
- Prepare, review and complete experimental reports for internal work. Review and finalize reports from CRO.
- Collaborate within and across teams such as protein production, cell assay and in vivo team.
In addition, you will shape Commit Biologics together with us to establish a professional and cutting-edge immune therapy company.
Qualifications
- You hold a PhD degree in a life science discipline.
- You have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in the biopharma/biotech industry working on in vivo models, PK and PD for the development of biological therapeutics.
- You have experience with tumor models.
- You have experience with managing CRO’s performing the preclinical animal models
- Interested in working in an interdisciplinary and international environment, where speaking and writing in English is part of everyday life.
- Experience with optimizing procedures and developing SOPs and improve laboratory operations.
- Experience with planning and execution of experiments in an independent manner, analyzing and reporting results.
Hard skills:
- Oncology background
- Autoimmune diseases and Complement biology background is a plus
- Technical and strategical problem solving capabilities
- Ability to effectively summarize scientific data and to write scientific reports
Soft skills:
- Highly motivated and dynamic individual who can take ownership of a project and take pride in its delivery
- Ability to deliver against predefined timelines
- Strong results driven personality, high level of enthusiasm, energy and creativity and an ability to demonstrate flexibility and integrity
- Be able to function in a multidisciplinary team environment and to work independently or in team environments under deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
